Eagan, McAllister Associates, Inc. (EMA) began its operations in 1984 with one contract; two employees, co-founders Rex Eagan and John McAllister. Here are their stories...

John J. McAllister
John McAllister, President, CEO, and Co-Founder of Eagan, McAllister Associates, Inc. (EMA), earned his Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and his Master's degree in Procurement from George Washington University. John is a retired Navy Captain (U.S. Navy Reserves) who began his 12-year Navy career as a U.S. Naval Supply Corps Officer. In 1981, John left the Navy to accept a position as head of the contracting division for a Naval activity in Southern Maryland.

A year later, he joined a large defense contractor for a two-year stint as a project manager, directing a technical program analysis effort supporting Navy Command and Control Systems. In 1984, he joined with Rex Eagan to found Eagan, McAllister Associates, Inc.

Rex Eagan
Rex Eagan, Co-Founder of Eagan, McAllister Associates, Inc., earned both his Bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science and Master's degree in Business Administration from Marshall University. After serving one tour of duty with the Navy in Vietnam and another at the Naval Air Test Center at Patuxent River, Maryland, he accepted a position with a large defense contracting firm where he served as site manager for Lexington Park, Maryland personnel providing program management services to mostly Navy clients for the research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) of major system acquisitions.

In 1984, he joined with John McAllister to found Eagan, McAllister Associates, Inc. Rex Eagan retired from his official duties at EMA in August 2000.
