The Key Pieces of an EMA Career
Our career progression process is built around a broad range of logical career paths, each made up of increasingly challenging job assignments designed to help our employees find their niche, develop their interests, and grow professionally with EMA.
We strive to recruit and retain our employees based on a match between the company's business objectives and the employee's career goals rather than solely on the expediency of satisfying a specific contract requirement. Over time, employees who stay with EMA should be able to look back with satisfaction at having attained a continual increase in professional knowledge, expertise, and ability to satisfy progressively complex job requirements in an increasingly independent manner.
Here at EMA, we recognize and appreciate the fact that while many employees may wish to develop their skills and experiences in order to attain additional responsibility and compensation, others may wish to remain in their current positions indefinitely. As a result, we do not mandate a traditional, bureaucratic career path or ladder with guaranteed outcomes for our employees. Rather, we offer a variety of advancement opportunities to those who are interested in taking on increased responsibility and are committed to developing their skills and experience. Our career progression process also offers employees the flexibility to move to higher-level positions within a certain category or to transition between categories as opportunities arise.
Employees are encouraged to discuss their career goals with their managers, division directors, or human resource representatives.
Training and Professional Association Memberships
EMA employees attend training seminars sponsored by a variety of sources as a means of staying up-to-date in the professional practices and norms of their fields of interest. These seminars also provide focused, in-depth training on relevant topics. EMA often sponsors seminars in-house as demand warrants. Professional association memberships also provide the additional breadth afforded by networking with other professionals in the field.
Continuing Education
EMA's educational assistance program is designed to foster the professional growth of its employees over their entire career, while at the same time helping the company to meet new business challenges. EMA provides tuition and fee reimbursement for both undergraduate and graduate-level courses as well as other job-related courses.
