What do you like most about working for EMA?
"At EMA I've been able to work with some of the world's most advanced technologies...Being able to get the specialized training I need to work with these technologies directly through EMA has made these opportunities all the more rewarding.
I've also noticed, in talking with friends and family, that EMA has one of the most competitive benefits packages around, from vacation and sick leave, to insurance and 401(k), to outstanding opportunities for professional advancement and growth."
What do think sets EMA apart from other employers?
"One of the things I like best about EMA is its people. Around here, it's like one big family. For example, an email was recently sent out to all Charleston employees requesting the donation of vacation hours for a fellow employee who had exhausted all their own leave after their child was diagnosed with a serious illness. Within 45 minutes, a second email was sent out reporting that 200+ hours had already been donated. If that doesn't demonstrate what a supportive family EMA is, I don't know what would."
Up to this point, what's the most rewarding aspect of your experience at EMA?
"I can actually think of three very rewarding aspects of my experience at EMA...First, although I decided not to join the military after school like so many of my classmates did, my work at EMA directly supports the Marine Corps, and thus gives me the opportunity to serve my country. Secondly, it's gratifying to know that many of the products I have a hand in producing are actually being used to keep our country safe. And last, but definitely not least, I appreciate the opportunities EMA gives me to get involved in meeting the needs of our local community…to actually make a difference in people's lives."
