Drew Job
Title: Program
Manager |
|
|
"Retiring from a 20-year Navy career, I knew I still had a lot to offer," Drew said. "…but I wanted to find a place where I could apply my experience without pressure to inappropriately exploit my Navy contacts. I found EMA to be just such a place…. It's been eight years now, but it was obvious from the start that EMA's corporate commitment to integrity and the well being of its employees was at the center of everything they did." Drew
supported Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) Systems Center
Charleston (SSCC) clients out of EMA's offices in Lexington Park, Maryland,
until 1999. At that time, he relocated to EMA's Charleston office to
become Program Manager for the company's largest-ever contract award,
a $94 million contract to provide Command, Control, Communications,
Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) support
to SSCC. "I see myself as a facilitator," he said, "overseeing all aspects of program operations and ensuring the right people are in place at the right time to support program requirements." This is quite a challenge, considering our contract covers the whole gamut of engineering and logistics services and support. "Without a doubt, the key to our success has been the quality of the people we have on task," Drew said. "Their outstanding support not only helps to reinforce EMA's great reputation among our clients, but also allows me to spend a portion of my time on direct task technical efforts and thus stay on the cutting edge of technology and maintain a fresh perspective as a manager. It's the best of all worlds!" |
