Life @ EMA

When Rex Eagan and John McAllister started EMA back in 1984, they set out to build a contracting business unlike all the rest. In an industry characterized by short-term, contract-by-contract relationships, their hope was to establish a company that focused on people over the bottom line...on building long-term careers over staffing contracts. Over the years, this simple philosophy - still a rarity in the industry today — has remained both a defining feature of EMA and the cornerstone of its continued success.

Our people, though from diverse and varied backgrounds, are well-known for their corporate commitment to the ideals of teamwork, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction. They are our most valuable asset our best representatives and we firmly believe in treating them as such. After all, happy employees equal happy customers and a stable and steadily growing business base for EMA.

Atmosphere and Environment

EMA offers its people a laid-back, yet stimulating professional work environment where opinions matter, accomplishments are acknowledged, and personal and professional goals are supported and pursued. This down-to-earth, personal approach to business, together with EMA's simple, uncluttered organizational style, allows people the freedom to take questions and concerns directly to top-level decision-makers...to create innovative, non-traditional approaches to customer-specific challenges...to suggest and lead in the development of new business opportunities...to proactively define their own career paths...to share technology and lessons learned across disciplines and geographical locales...to stay on the cutting-edge through abundant training and educational opportunities...in short, to take an active role in making their personal and professional goals reality.

Work-Life Balance

Here at EMA, we realize there's more to life than work. This is why we strive to help our employees achieve a healthy balance between the demands of work and personal life by offering flexible work arrangements such as compressed work schedules (CWS), flex-time (upon client approval), part-time work, and telecommuting opportunities.

Dress Code

Business casual dress is the rule of the day at all EMA locations. However, EMA employees working at on-site client locations are expected to follow the code of their particular client's office.
